The assessment model of physics SL consists of three papers. Paper 1 is a 45 minutes exam which contains 30 multiple-choice questions, weighing 20% of the final grade. Paper 3 is one hour exam which contains data and practical-based questions, plus short-answer and extended-response questions based on optional topics; weighing 20% of the final grade. IB Physics HL Tutors

Paper 2 is a 2.25 hours exam which contains short-answer and extended-response questions (core & AHL) weighing 36% of the final grade. Paper 3 is 1.25 hours exam which contains data-and-practical-based questions plus short-answer and extended-response questions based on the optional topics; weighing 24% of the final grade. We know that IB physics IA is a very important part of the course, so our IB physics teacher also helps the students in selecting the IB Physics IA topics and also guide them in throughout development of the physics IA. The internal assessment is of 10 hours duration and this individual investigation is a six to twelve pages write up weighing 20% of the final grade.
